since it is first stated that a product of 7 and a number is subtracted, you should operate it first, by means of multiplying (product), and subtracted FROM 3, means you will get 7n (w/c is the product) from 3. (you can't interchange 7n to 3, because it's subtraction. So that's : 3 - (7n)
