Determine if the lines that pass through the given points are parallel, perpendicular or neither. Line A: (-3, 5) and (0, 7) Line B: (6, 2) and (9, 4)

m1*m2=-1

If the lines are parallel they will have the same slope. If the lines are perpendicular, the slopes will be the opposite of each other Use the slope formula to find the slopes use the points you have. \[ m = \frac{Y_2-Y_1}{X_2 - X_1} \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

slope of line a *slope of line b =-1 then its perpendicular if slope of line a = slope of line b then its parallel ...

Also, when I said if they are perpendicular they will be opposite, I meant that the slope of one is the negative reciprocal of the other.
