Simplify the following expression: (5x2 + 3x + 4) − (2x2 − 6x + 3). If the final answer is written in the form Ax2 + Bx + C, what is the value of B? Numerical Answers Expected! i know the answer but am i only suppose to put in the answer for the value of the letter or should i put in the whole answer
just subtract them .... (5x^2 + 3x + 4) − (2x^2 − 6x + 3) 5x^2 + 3x + 4 -2x^2 + 6x - 3 ---------------- ???
if its just expecting the value of B, id just put in B and not Bx
No i know the answer which the value of b is -3 but should i put in the whole answer like this 3x^2+-3x+7 the value of b is -3
your value of B is off; you need to reverse ALL the signs in the (...) when subtracting
can you take a screenshot? it might help to better formualte what they are wanting as a response
Im confused because it says put in the numerical answer which is expected so should i just put the value of b or is it telling me to put more than that
Okay yeah sure give me one second and thanks for helping me
Okay so i have saved it but im afraid to give it out because it has saved the page with my name and the teachers name on it
if you hit the "print screen" button; you can open it in paint and edit it
Actuallt thank you very much for your time and effort but my teacher finally answered my text thank you again so much she told me i only have to put in the value of the letter
then lets review what that value is; since what you presented to me was in error :)
No you had it correct 5x^2 + 3x + 4 -2x^2 + 6x - 3 ---------------- ???
when we work out the math 5x^2 + 3x + 4 -2x^2 + 6x - 3 ---------------- 3x^2 + 9x - 1
Oh it is...
:) good luck
(5x2 + 3x + 4) − (2x2 − 6x + 3)
One second please dont leave
What did i do wrong that made me get 3x^2+-3x+7
