Which point lies in the solution set for the following system of inequalities? y < 2x + 4 y < -2x + 2 (1, 0) (-5, -2) (0, -3) (-1, 5)

OpenStudy (foreverandalways13):

ok so basically all you need to do is plug in the points to x and y.. 0<-2(1)+2 0<0 --> not true so A doesnt work...make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (foreverandalways13):

ok cool!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its not A

OpenStudy (foreverandalways13):

no...but to know whether or not its like b or c or d....make sure to check BOTH equations...

OpenStudy (foreverandalways13):

im leah by the way... :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey leah :)

OpenStudy (foreverandalways13):

hey...

OpenStudy (foreverandalways13):

i'll message you:)

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

check B now.... y < 2x + 4 ...(-5,2) -5 < 2(2) + 4 -5 < 4 + 4 -5 < 8.......true y < -2x + 2 -5 < -2(2) + 2 -5 < -4 + 2 -5 < -2...true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its b

OpenStudy (foreverandalways13):
