If triangle ABC has sides of A:x, B:2x, C:3x, what is its classification

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Scalene

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what angle is the closest to scalene?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

angle? scalene is not related to an angle? what do you mean by that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cause my answers say, RIGHT, OBTUSE, EQUALATERAL, AND ISOSCELES

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh in that case it should be obtuse or right equilateral would make them all x, isoseles would make two of the sides the same. wait a second i'll try to work it out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is probably obtuse, a 2 3 4 triangle wouldn't satisfy pythagorean theorem where a^2 + b^2 = c^2
