What is x/3 + 2x/15 < 2/3? What is the solution set

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes it's 3. What's your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what did you get as an andwer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So would it be 3x/3 on the left side or 3x/6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know but do I use 3 as the denominator or do I divide 3 into the denominator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The denominators are 3 and 15 so why would 5 be the LCM

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

Multiply everything by 15 to get rid of the fractions (15)x/3 + (15)2x/15 < (15)2/3 5x + 2x < 10 7x < 10 x < 10/7
