Graph the function in a suitable window and find the smallest y-value possible, or the smallest in the x-interval specified. f(x)=(1.5)^x+1-(x+1)^5; -5≤x≤5 ..... i'm lost... i don't know what they want from this....

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

They want you to graph the function \[f(x) = (1.5)^{(x+1)} - (x+1)^5\] for values of \(x\) from -5 to 5. Or maybe it's some other function assembled from those letters and numbers — you didn't write it clearly. Then having graphed it, they want you to find the minimum value of \(y\) shown on the graph in that range.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i guess, minimum value of y can be found, but graphing the function would be difficult.
