OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is only one proper selection of current loops in a loop analysis of a single source circuit? T or F

OpenStudy (kropot72):

Sometimes it is not possible to assess the direction to be assigned to all current loops in a network. In that case a direction must be assumed at first. If the solution gives a negative value to that current, then it indicates that the direction is opposite to that assumed. Therefore it is false to say there is only one proper selection of current loops, the reason being that an assumption of the direction of a loop is sometimes necessary.
