C. Amateur. When looking at questions like these, consider, why would the committee be amazed? Would it surprise them that an experienced artist could do excellent work? Or consider the word "mere" before the blank, is an entrepreneur a "mere" thing? For that matter, does an entrepreneur have any relation to an art contest?
