Science is now overpowering humans in making decisions. Majority of the decisions of big companies are taken by the computers for analysis, calculations & estimations.

Science is used to decide whether tomorrow's weather would be rainy or sunny (i.e. weather forecast).

Science & technology is not yet been so advanced that it can make emotional or sentimental decisions as humans can. But still science is taking lots of decisions in variety of ways Science is used to decide what kind of crops can be grown in an area depending on its soil type.

That's correct, although, I need a certain instance when there was a specific problem where they had to use science to correct the problem.

Building? Though engineers do the work, but scientists are involved in calculating. 
Safety signs along the road, eg: how many degrees is of the slope ahead
