Solve the proportion 2 times x all over 9 times x minus 8 equals 2 over x.. What is the value of x?

x = 1 and x = 9
x = −1 and x = −9
x = 1 and x = 8
x = −1 and x = 8

2x/(9x - 8) = 2/x
cross multiply
(2x)(x) = 2(9x - 8)
2x^2 = 18x - 16
2x^2 - 18x + 16 = 0
2(x - 8)(x - 1) = 0
x - 8 = 0
x = 8

x - 1 = 0
x = 1

I am not sure if I did this correctly...I am not good at quadratic equations...you will need to get a second opinion.
