pls help You start out with $20 and then spend money in a store where every item is $3. Y = -3x + 20. Type how to graph the equation using the y-intercept and slope. Be sure to tell where you place the first point and how to find the location of the second point.

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Well...this equation is written in slope intercept form \[y = mx + b\] in this equation 'b' = y-intercept (should be your first point) 'm' = slope (will be how you find your second point so with your equation \[y = -3x + 20\] (0,20) is your y-intercept...so you would plot that first.... to find your next point...you look at the slope -3/1....means you start from your first point....move down 3 units....then over to the right 1 unit...since this is a negative slope...and plot that point

thank you so much :)
