the kinetic energy of the molecules of the end of the spoon which is in hot soup increased as the thermal energy is transferred to the kinetic energy of the molecules...so the vibration amplitudes of the molecules became relatively large..they collide with neighboring molecules..in this way the energy is transferred..this method is called conduction..
