Wholesale price: $12 Retail price: $20 Markup on retail: ?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Any ideas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well i think that you first subtract 12 from 20 and then get 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH and then do you take 8 divided by 20?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think I answered my own question! lol :D Thank you for the help! :D

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Yes, you are correct: $8 is what the mark up is :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so then you will get .4 after dividing 8 by 20 and then you multiply that by 100 to get the percent 40% :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh.. :) So what I have is wrong? This is the answer i have in my book. :)

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Nothing, I'm wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh that is ok. :) Thank you! :D

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):
