How important is computer literacy? How can access to computers and the Internet benefit poor communities? You have just learned that a wealthy philanthropist wants to give back to disadvantaged people in a deserving community. This businesswoman has made her fortune by being an innovator on the Internet. She wants to provide computers and Internet access to low-income poor people in a deserving community. Your job is to create a presentation to convince her that people in your community are deserving of her charity with a description of how her money will be used to help the people in your community. You may create your presentation by using a pen and paper, a computer program, or a Web 2.0 tool. Be creative and use color and pictures. Include the following items in your presentation: description of the Hole in the Wall experiment examples from the video explaining how computers and Internet access benefitted that community identify ways the Internet has changed society reasons why computer literacy is important ways that Internet access and computers may help poor people in your community
