Love and care is the key. However so is praise, but use it in moderation, always tell them they did a good job, if they didn't show them how they can improve, be honest. Or if they're older which I assume they are, enroll them in something to make friends, thats how they build self esteem, your dicsipline skills will be a key part of theyre life as you support them growing up, but be nice and fair as well as encouraging.
