Yes, that should work. If it helps, you could note that here x is a function of y. Then, create a table of x and y values. Do yourself a favor and choose some "easy" values for y, so that x is easy to find. :)

Then plot the points (xy pairs). So the points (0,0);(-1,1);(-2,4) and (-3,9) would be on your graph.
