solve this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mrs.Rane gives 0.025 part of her salary as pocket money to her son Vinod every month. Vinod spends 0.8 part of his pocket money and saves the rest.If he saves Rs.277.50 in every three months then how much does Mrs.Rane earn in a month ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If Vinod sves Rs.277.50 in every three months then how much does he sve in one month??? @msingh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

277.50/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok itz 277.50/3=92.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

assume that Mrs.Rane earns Rs x in a month

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nw what part of her money does she give to her son as pocket money??? @msingh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey r u thr ??? @msingh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup . me checking it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what after this assume that Mrs.Rane earns Rs x in a month

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if her salary is x then what part of her salary does she give to her son as pocket money??? @msingh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.025x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to make it simpler let us convert it into fraction 0.025=25/1000=1/40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nw the question says that 'Vinod spends 0.8 part of his pocket money and saves the rest.'this means he saves 0.2=2/10=1/5 of his pocket money

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

his pocket money is 1/40 x and he saves 1/5 of his pocket money then in terms of x how much does he save???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@msingh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x= 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no no i mean if his pocket money is 1/40 x and he saves 1/5 of his pocket money what part of 1/40 x does he save ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@msingh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

he saves 1/5 X 1/40 x =Rs.1/200 x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

he saves Rs 92.5 and we have found that he saves 1/200 of x this means \[\frac{ 1 }{ 200 }x=92.5\] \[=>\frac{ x }{ 200}=92.5\] Find the value of x and x will be Mrs.Rane's salary.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Loser66 plse help me to solve one confusion as @Curious9876 is offline how this part came ,, from where 0.2 came nw the question says that 'Vinod spends 0.8 part of his pocket money and saves the rest.'this means he saves 0.2=2/10=1/5 of his pocket money

OpenStudy (loser66):

sorry friend, I know nothing about accounting.:(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@msingh SRY FRND I WAS OFFLINE he spends \[0.8=\frac{8}{10}=\frac{4}{5}\] of his pocket money if he spends 4/5 of his pocket money then he saves \[1-\frac{4}{5}=\frac{1}{5}\] of his pocket money.
