Ill post the question below and ill give a medal (:

OpenStudy (emilyjones284):

Graph the function \[y=\sqrt{x+6}+ 2\]. Which point lies on the graph?

OpenStudy (emilyjones284):

Answer choices (-1,-2) (3,-5) (2,-6) (-2,4)

hartnn (hartnn):

u need to check each options to check 1st one put x = -1 if you get y= -2 then its the correct option else check 2nd one...

hartnn (hartnn):

do this for all 4 choices/options :P :)

OpenStudy (emilyjones284):

Oh okay sounds easy enough thanks (:

hartnn (hartnn):

welcome ^_^

OpenStudy (emilyjones284):

I tried it but i dont understand how im supposed to take the square root of them

hartnn (hartnn):

square root of (3+6) and sqrt (-2+6) will be integers

OpenStudy (emilyjones284):

so then i add 2 to the integers?

hartnn (hartnn):

yes, which one will lead you to correct 'y' value ?

OpenStudy (emilyjones284):

okay i get it now thank you (:

hartnn (hartnn):

welcome ^_^
