Rewrite with only sin x and cos x. sin 2x - cos 2x

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Have you considered the double angle formulas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but im always confused on which to use on the cos2x

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

What difference does it make? Use any of the three. Reread the problem statement until you believe!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait is it 2sin^2x + 2sincos -1

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Is that just sin(x) and cos(x)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya i think so

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

There you have it. I am a little curious why you put the sin(2x) in the middle of the two cos(2x) pieces, but that curiosity is of no consequence.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is some type of formula, just how you simplify it i guess.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Looks pretty "simplified" to me!
