A bag has 5 red marbles, 6 blue marbles and 4 black marbles. What is the probability of picking a red marble, replacing it, and then picking a black marble?

OpenStudy (blurbendy):

Add up the total number of marbles you have: 5 + 6 + 4 = 15 How many red marbles do you have? 5, so the probability of selecting a red marble is 5/15 or 1/3 if you replace it, you still have 15 total marbles How many black marbles do you have? 4, so the probability of selecting a black marble is 4/15
