what are unions and intersections

Say you have two sets:

A = { 1, 2 , 3 , 4}
B = {4, 5, 6, 7}

A Union (U) B = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7}
Just make a set with ALL the elements of A and B
A Intersection B = {4}
when doing intersection, just see which elements are the same in BOTH sets and make a new set with that element.
