how did jason escape from the cyclops?
After Cyclops (his name, I believe, is Polyphemos) snacks on a few of Odysseus' men for a meal, whereupon Odysseus offers Cyclops a drink. As Polyphemos is pleased with the wine, and asks Odysseus what his name is, to which Odysseus replies " No Body". Odysseus gives Cyclops so much wine that he falls into a stupor and eventually goes to sleep. At this point, Odysseus grasps a sharp green olive pole (he and his men had prepared it previously), and heats it up in a fire. Then, Odysseus and his men stab the spear into Cyclop's only eye, blinding him. When Cyclops calls for help, his friends demand to know who is harming him Polyphemus replies "No body." His friends do not take him seriously and depart. Cyclops removes the boulder from the door so he can snatch anyone attempting to escape. Odysseus instructs his men to cling unto the bellies of Cyclop's sheep as the Cyclops leads them out to graze them. When the Cyclops feels around to find the men, he only rubs sheep's wool and lets them pass safely. Please mark this as the best answer :)
