what was a result of the Geneva Accords? Vietnam agrees to stop fighting the US. Vietnam won independence as a united country. Vietnam began fighting against European colonialism. Vietnam was temporarily divided into two separate nations.

OpenStudy (wesdg1978):

The Geneva Agreements theoretically ended the war between French Union forces and the Vietminh in Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. These states were to become fully independent countries, with the last-named partitioned near the 17th parallel into two states pending reunification through "free elections" to be held by July 20, 1956. The United States and Vietnam are not signatories to these agreements. So the answer based on your choices would be: Vietnam was temporarily divided into two separate nations.

OpenStudy (wesdg1978):

There are, however, several "Geneva Accords" concerning countries such as Vietnam, Afghanistan, Israel, Palestine and Croatia.
