Can anyone help to solve: 4x^2 + 17x = -4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have to solve for x:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[4x^{2}+17x+4=0\] a=4, b=17, c=4, use: \[x=\frac{ -b \pm \sqrt{(b)^{2}-4(a)(c)} }{ 2a }\] you get x=-4 or x=-1/4

Thank you ghost, this the same answer that I got but I thought that I was wrong! Here is your medal!
