I believe you're right, exocytosis is a form of active transport. It would require the use of ATP to direct vesicles to fuse with the cell membrane and secrete wastes.

Meanwhile the Sodium-Potassium pump would not require the use of vesicles, so exocytosis has to be the right answer :) Hope this helped!
