A rectangle has a length of 8m and a width of 500 cm. What is the perimeter of the rectangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You'll want to convert them both to the same unit of measure, so make the 500cm side into 5m. You now have a rectangle with sides 8m and 5m. The perimeter is just the sum of the sides. You have two sides that are 8m and two that are 5m, so your perimeter is (8m + 8m + 5m + 5m)=26m
