OpenStudy (magbak):

Medal will be awarded!!!! The binomial x + 2 is the divisor of 4x3 – 9x2 – 30x + 8. Use complete sentences to explain how you use (either) polynomial division or synthetic division to find the quotient. Be sure to provide this quotient in your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would use neither of these

OpenStudy (magbak):

I have no option.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[ 4x^3 – 9x^2 – 30x + 8=(x+2)(ax^2+bx+c)\] now it is pretty clear that \(a=4\) because you have to end up with \(4x^3\) and and it is also pretty obvious that \(c=4\) since you need a constant of \(8\)

OpenStudy (marissalovescats):

Okay so this is actually reallly easy! Do you know how to do synthetic division??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is because you are not supposed to think when you do math, you are just supposed to "do" it a terrible waste of good thinking

OpenStudy (magbak):

Yes

OpenStudy (marissalovescats):

We already know that x+2 is a divisor so that means the zero we are using -2 as our "boxed" number

OpenStudy (magbak):

yes if it is not to much can you put the final answer in one post because it is hard to put all the different posts together.

OpenStudy (marissalovescats):

So do this for me @magbak |dw:1373233000795:dw| Solve the rest of it for me :')
