a flat conducting sheet with a uniform charge distribution of 3.00 micro C is positioned like a wall. A pith ball with charge magnitude of q = 3.00 micro C which is suspended by a light 2.00 m string in front of it. The other end of the string connecting the pith ball is tied to the upper part of the sheet. What is the electric field experienced by the pith ball? What resultant electrical force does the pith ball experience? If the mass of the pith ball is 10.00 g what is the angle made by the string with the vertical?

OpenStudy (souvik):

what is the surface area of the sheet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no given surface area sir. :(

OpenStudy (souvik):

okay lets take it A.. so what is the electric field of that sheet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

E = 2\[\pi\]K\[\sigma\] where K = 9 x 10\[^{9}\]. E = 54,000 (pi) C ? not sure. just calculated it using the formula. hehe

OpenStudy (souvik):

use equation.draw option...i did not get what u wrote.
