If you look at the figure, you need to find the length of the one side not given. To do that you can simply find the hypotenuse of the unshaded right triangle. So the equation would be 8^2+15^2= C^2 64+225=C^2 289=C^2 17=C Now that you have the missing value, to find the perimeter of the shaded triangle, add up 27.5, 5, and 17 to get 49.5.
