Please help me with this. 16<2x+4<4 I have to solve the inequality.

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

first subtract the 4 then divide the 2

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

16 < 2x + 4 < 4 -4 -4 -4

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Well you want to get that 2x alone inbetween the signs.....so subtract 4 from each side (including the middle) Then you want to solve for 'x' right? not 2x....so divide each side by 2...(again including the middle....then you will have your answer
