Use the quad formula : http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/loom/files/2008/07/quadratic.jpg

OpenStudy (uri):

a:1 b:5 c:22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is the answer B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to check, substitute is (-2.5)^2 + 5(-2.5) + 22 = 0? if yes, then you're right. if not, try again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No it's not 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then pick another letter and keep on substituting. i for one think it's faster (only applicable in multiple choice questions)
