OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jazzyfa30

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, did you look up minute?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

And what did you find?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its just keep talking about time, the common minute

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/minute

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Down a little ways it has: mi·nute 2 [mahy-noot, -nyoot, mi-] adjective, mi·nut·er, mi·nut·est. 1. extremely small, as in size, amount, extent, or degree: minute differences. 2. of minor importance; insignificant; trifling. 3. attentive to or concerned with even the smallest details: a minute examination.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says wrong i only have one more chance

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well what did you try last time?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what you put, i put short,

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Nowhere in that definition do I see the word short.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL i put small, i wrote it wrong sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My answer i put was B

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, it means small in this context, so I am not sure why they think it is wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright, thank you for your help anyways

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

I hate it when auto graders have it wrong.

OpenStudy (jazzyfa30):

@amandasoto144 do you still need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, this questions, i put what e.mccormick said it was and what the definition said it was but it was wrong

OpenStudy (jazzyfa30):

ok try the opposite of the answer you put

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh my, yea no i got that one completely wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i put large, that was wrong too

OpenStudy (jazzyfa30):

ok well thats two options gone

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Here is another reference to why it is small: http://oxforddictionaries.com/us/definition/american_english/minute--2 I do not know why the auto grader thinks it is anything else. Talk to your teacher about it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, thank you, i will send those websites to my teacher as well

OpenStudy (preetha):

Amanda, e.mcormick is right. minute here means very small. Very small chance. good luck talking to your teacher.!
