One half of them were exposed to radiation treatment for two hour periods daily, the other half received no treatment. After a year, it was found that the mice given the treatment had less chance of getting the disease.

i think you have posted this in the wrong category...i don't see the math of this question.  my view of the question say, that radiation is the treatment of the disease?
