Write an equation for the set of points whose distance from the y-axis is 3. Describe this set in words (i.e. what does it look like?). This is for Calc 3 and its about three dimensional coordinate systems.

So far I got 3=\[3=\sqrt{(x _{2}-x _{1})^2+(z _{2}-z _{1})^2}\] but i don't know if its right.

can some one please help?
