Solve: |2t + 5| = 3

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Absolute values mean that what's inside the bars is equal to either the right side or the NEGATIVE of the right side. Take this, for example, |2t + 5| = 3 means either 2t + 5 = 3 OR 2t + 5 = -3 Solve both equations, and you're good to go :)

{1, -4}? @terenzreignz

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Try it. Replace the t in |2t + 5| = 3 with 1 and -4 See if it adds up :)

{-1, -4}
