Yup. Multiply 4 with all the terms of first bracket and 3 with all terms of second bracket.

nah thats not correct.. (4x^2-12x+20) - (3x^2-6x+3) can be written as 4x^2 - 12x + 20 - 3x^2 + 6x - 3..
the first two terms of your answer are right.. it would be +17 instead of +23..
so it should be 17 not 23?
how about this one . (3x^2+x+1) + (2x^2-3x-5)
