For your assessment, you will write three journal entries from the point of view of a Native American at the time of contact with Europeans. What are your thoughts and feelings as Europeans begin to arrive? What do the Europeans bring with them and what do they want with your society? How are yor interactions with the Europeans? How did these interactions impact your feelings and attitude towards them? Did their visit have any lasting effects on you or your society? Are you hoping for their return, or concerned about their return?Your completed journal must:

include three one-paragraph journal entries; one entry prior to European arrival, one entry from the day of your first encounter with Europeans, and one entry made some years after European contact
in the first entry include a description of your life and your society
in the second entry include a description of who the Europeans are and actions taken by the them
in the third entry include a description of the lasting effects, hopes, and/or concerns, from the encounters with Europeans
use sensory details (see, hear, touch, smell, taste) in your descriptions for each entry
