What would be your first step in solving –3x > 0?

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Adding +3 to the other side (in this case, 0).

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

I thought you wuold divide both side by -3. o_O Since the opposite of a multiplication is division.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

My bad. Yes, you would have to divide -3 and do the same on the other side.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

I feel embarrassed... and this is one of the simplest linear equations haha :)

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

Everyone make mistake sometime. ;)

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Yeah. I'm tired.

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

Here's a medal for trying. Now take a nap. :3

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol thanks sweetheart , i know im tired too . ! up all hours of the night. ! (:

hero (hero):

Just add 3x to both sides: 0 > 3x then divide both sides by 3: 0 > x or x < 0

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Yes, thats an easier way.
