Math check (linear dependency)
Here is what I have and think. Is this right? determmine of the sets of vectors are dependent of independent. [3,1,4],[-2,1,-1] 3 -2 1 0 1 1 rref = 0 1 4 -1 0 0 which tells me we dont have any free variables aka they are independent
But where the question comes into play is that i have a rank 1 matrix (i think) which should mean i have 1 unknown which would make them dependent. . . according to some therom in the book
well what does the third row imply?
is this the one that circles back around to imply the two above can be combined to make it?
