Anita has a collection of sports trading cards. Her collection consists of three basketball cards, six baseball cards, seven hockey cards, and eight football cards. Anita picked one card from her collection. What is the probability that Anita picked a football card? imma blonde haha help please

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Oh come on you know this In total there are 3 + 6 + 7 + 8 = 24 cards right? They take 1 randomly...and want a football card...which accounts for 8 of those 24 cards....so the probability is \[\frac{ 8 }{ 24 }\] simplified down you get...?

1/3??

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

That would be correct! :)
