Ruth has to construct a triangle TUV congruent to triangle QRS. Triangle QRS and Ruths construction so far is shown below.

Draw an arc from point T to intersect the arc above TV using the length of QR as the width of the compass. Draw a line segment equal to the length of segment RS using a ruler so that the segment touches any point in the arc. Draw an arc from point V to intersect the arc above TV using the length of RS as the width of the compass. Draw line segments to connect any point in the arc to points T and V and another segment to connect points T and V.
