How much will it cost to fence a circular swimming pool at the edge of the pool if it has a diameter of 35 feet and fencing costs $12.50 per foot (use = 3.14)?

1) Find the circumference of the pool: c=2(pi)r = (pi)d 2) With the cost of fencing per foot, find the cost of fencing for that circumference.
1) Circumference = piD = 110 ft (3sf) 2) fencing cost = $12.50 x 110 = $1375
That is correct, but ensure that you do not round up to 3 sf all intermediate working to ensure accuracy
