i dont want all of it dont i just need help with some of it i promise
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
all those problems are asking u to put line in 'slope intercept' form
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
do u knw what a 'slope intercept' form is ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
OpenStudy (anonymous):
sorta kinda

this doc different from the old attachment ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ya it has my last name lol
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
lol ok stephens :)
lets start with writing the 'slope intercept' form of a line
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh and i turned in my last doc (the questions i had yesterday) and i got a 100 n i want to say thankyou so much you have rlly haelped me alot :)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
help* lol

anyway alright lets do this lol
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
slope intercept form of a line :-
\(\large y = \color{green}{m}x + \color{red}{c}\)
\(\color{green}{m}\) = slope
\(\color{red}{c}\) = intercept
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
thats great ! :)
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
and im sure u deserve 100 for so much hardwork !!
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
so basically, we need to figure out \(\color{green}{m}\) and \(\color{red}{c}\) for each of the lines shown

lol srry typing notes n okay
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
lets start with first problem
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
the line is falling right ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes it is
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
brb, got some urgent work sorry

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
good :) since the line is falling slope wud be negative
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yeah
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
look at the graph again,
when u go from right side, 0 to 4, the line is falling by 1 unit
so slope = -1/4
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
since the line is cutting y axis at 0,
y intercept = 0
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
so, the equation of line would be :-
\(y = \color{green}{\frac{-1}{4}}x + 0\)

got it lol srry still noting
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
ok good :)
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
second problem
look at graph and tell me, where the line is cutting y-axis ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
one sec lol
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
okie

ok got it lol
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
got what ? :)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
lol i had to make sure my typing was correct when doin the problem lol
so the like cuts theny axis at -3 cuts the x axis at 1in a half?
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
thats right !! we are concerned oly where it cuts y-axis
it cuts y-axis at -3
so c = -3
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
u need to find m still

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
if u see, the line is rising up 2 units, when u go right 1 unit
so m = 2
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
the equation of line wud be
y = 2x - 3
OpenStudy (anonymous):
:O.... i feel so stupid.... -_-
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
lol why... btw i feel stupid all the time lol
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
il grab some coffee.... brb 2 mnts, u continue with next problem ok
