Ok for your first question I know that the Olmec and Mayans lived nearby and exchanged several ideas with each other. However, the Olmec lived what is now Mexico and the Olmecs lived in what is now Guatemala and Honduras.

So for your first question I would say that the answer is A because the two civilizations had similar types of glyphs.
