ok so first factor out an x and tell me what the equation would look like

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x(x+12)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good now if you notice that x is pretty much everywhere that means the domain is all real numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me show you what I came up with

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=x(x+12) has x intercepts at (0,0) (-12,0) domain all real numbers range real numbers >= -36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually that is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. is that all the work I need to show?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the easiest way to show the work is to show the graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok I graphed it out also. file attached
