Try squaring both sides.
Note than sinx^2 + cosx^2 = 1
OpenStudy (anonymous):
try using additon formula with cosx+1-sinx=0
OpenStudy (anonymous):
cosx +1 =sinx
cosx-sinx=1
Squaring both sides gives,
cos^2x - 2cosx sinx +sin^2x=1
1-2cosxsinx=0
2sinx cosx = 0
sinx cosx =0
Either sinx =0 OR cosx=0
Now, solve these and find all the values of x in the range you need... also check for all the values of x whether they are constient with the given equation or not as we have squared which would give incorrect solutions also.

it should be cosx-sinx=-1
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh yess...... but that makes no difference

Did u convert sinx-cosx into Rsin(x+A)
I mean this method ???
