This is probably easy, but I am confused.....help

At the nut house, a pound of cashews sell for $6 per lb and a pound of peanuts sells for $3 per lb. If you want a 3 lb mixture of peanuts and cashews, how many lbs of cashews would you have to choose ? I set it up like this... p + c = 3 3p + 6c = 5.25 I am getting c = 4.25.....that can't be 4.25 lbs.....what am I doing wrong ?
