OpenStudy (mary.rojas):

Which of the following does NOT have two integer roots: (NOTE: "X2" IS "X SQUARED) a. x2-2x b. x2-1 c. x2-2x-1 d. x2-3x-4 e. x2-4x-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just factor them all and you'll see that x^2 - 4x - 3 cannot be factored with real roots

OpenStudy (mary.rojas):

How do you factor them?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^2 - 2x can be factored to x(x-2) so its roots are 0 and 2 x^2 - 1 can be factored to (x-1)(x+1) so its roots are 1 and -1 x^2 -2x +1 can be factored to (x-1)(x-1) so it has just one root, 1 x^2 - 3x -4 can be factored to (x-4)(x+1) so its roots are 4 and -1

OpenStudy (mary.rojas):

thanks so much!!!!
