i need to find y plzz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

where is x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk wat ur asking

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

the question ask for the value of x and y I see y but not x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x is by the 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u not helping..

OpenStudy (raden):

5x = 15 solve for x and y+50 = 180 (consecutive interior angles) solve for y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=130???

OpenStudy (raden):

yep, that's right

OpenStudy (raden):

how about with x ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=3 lol i alreadfy had tht one but thankyou verrrry much lol

OpenStudy (raden):

but you told x = 5 above :) you're welcome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i find the scale factor o.o

OpenStudy (raden):

hmmm... there is something wrong about x RS/MN = 14/10 = 7/5 that's the scale factor

OpenStudy (raden):

RU/MP has to using the scale factor 7 : 5 too

OpenStudy (raden):

so, RU/MP = 7/5 RU/15 = 7/5 multiply by 15 to both sides, we get RU = 7/5 * 15 = 21 look at your diagram, RU = 5x so, 5x = 21 x = 21/5 = 42/10 = 4.2

OpenStudy (raden):

do you understand ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kinda lol

OpenStudy (raden):

x cant be 3 because the figure not same (small and giant is difference) hehe :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so whats 3 then ????

OpenStudy (raden):

canceled

OpenStudy (anonymous):

? u lost me o.o

OpenStudy (raden):

supposed we are never knew the 3 first, we have to determine the scale factor between the figures (already done) then we solve for x when we know the length of RU

OpenStudy (anonymous):

woahhhhhhhhh wait wait wait whats this???? ->x = 21/5 = 42/10 = 4.2

OpenStudy (raden):

to find x

OpenStudy (raden):

that's my way how to calculate 21/5 without the calculator :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i need to know how to do tht for the frist questions

OpenStudy (raden):

<L = <P, <M = <Q, <N = <R, and <O = <S and just take the proportion of similar sides LM/PQ = MN/QR = NO/RS = OL/SP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhhh okay i get it lol

OpenStudy (raden):

thank you hahaha
